BIG DONATION—

The Thorndale Police Department has received a new police vehicle to begin replacement of their aging fleet, according to Police Chief Martin Jackson. The City of Allen, Texas donated a 2009 Dodge Charger police car, which was replaced with a new patrol unit. Allen Police Chief Brian Harvey and Deputy Chief Glen Fowler made the donation at no charge. Jackson said it will replace an older Ford Crown Victoria with over 129,000 miles. Once all police equipment is installed, the vehicle will be put into service. “The City of Thorndale and the police department would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the Allen Police for such a significant donation to our community,” Jackson said.
