Muegge seeking new term
Muegge is currently completing his first term as Pre- cinct 4 commissioner.
Muegge and his wife, Denise and children Wesley and Laramie live in the Thorndale area. They attend St. Paul Lutheran church.
He has lived in the Thorndale area all of his life attending St. Paul Lutheran School and later attending and graduating from Thorndale High School in 1984 were he participated in sports and was an active FFA member.
Muegge has been a member of the Thorndale Volunteer Fire Department for twenty plus years and where he has served on the finance committee.
He has been a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church all of his life and is a member of Thorndale Coop. He is a supporter of the local FFA and 4-H youth of this area.
He also raises cattle in the Thorndale area.
Before being elected, Muegge worked for Milam County Precinct 4 for 25-plus years.
That experience helped him to develop the needed in-depth comprehensive understanding of the various responsibilities of the office of County Commissioner and the commissioner’s court.
He has applied this experience and knowledge in his policy-making and budget decisions, and in his hands-on service delivery to the people of Precinct 4.
He has worked w ithin the budget set for the precinct while improving and maintaining the many miles of county roads and bridges and continued to improve the equipment used by Precinct 4.
His experience in the construction and maintenance of county roads and bridges has helped in the improvement of the infrastructure of Precinct 4.
He has performed the duties of the commissioner’s court and worked to maintain open communications with the people of Milam County working to understand their issues and needs.
He has worked to develop a good working relationship with other county officials and municipalities in Milam County.
Some of his duties as commissioner have been to work on the 2011 redistricting for Milam County and the annual budget. He has worked with TxDOT on several projects including the replacement of brides on county roads 440 and 428.
He has utilized the TxDOT Equivalent Match Program for the bridge projects, saving the county tens of thousands of dollars, and he has handled other special projects as assigned.
He is currently serving as Vice President of Central Texas Association of Resource Conservation & Development, Inc. which works to accelerate the conservation, development and utilization of natural resources, improve the general level of economic activity, and to enhance the environment and standard of living in central Texas areas.
Muegge has proven that he has the knowledge and abilities to perform the duties of the office of Milam County Precinct 4 Commissioner and he is asking for your support in his bid for re-election to this office.
