CIP program, meal ahead Saturday
Remember the Community Improvement Program annual Christmas program and luncheon at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7at the Gause Community Center. Hope you can attend.
Then the next Saturday, Dec. 14, the community is invited to hear the Rockdale First Baptist Church choir perform their Christmas Cantata at 6 p.m. in the Gause Baptist Church sanctuary.
Some Gause ISD students are studying hard for upcoming UIL competition.
Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving with your family and friends and enjoyed all the football games that were on TV. We had a very nice lunch and visiting with relatives coming from Milano, Rockdale, Thorndale, Gause and Bryan.
Then around 4 p.m. we got a call that son, Craig had been in an accident on one of those prowler type four-wheelers in Fredericksburg, where he was visiting. He broke the large bone in his leg. So, Friday afternoon Kristi, Kelly and I went to San Antonio for the weekend and spent a lot of our weekend at Brooke Army Medical Center. Hopefully by the time this goes to print he will be at his home there in San Antonio.
Hope all of you who did the “Black Friday” thing found lots of bargains and are finished with your Christmas shopping.
Gause Junior High girls and boys basketball teams will be playing the first home game of this season here on Thursday, Dec. 5 with the first game beginning at 5 p.m. against Brazos Christian. We have a grandson Jaxon Hayles playing so you grandparents know Wayne and I will be going to all we can. I like to watch the basketball games even if there is no one on the team that I know. Have no idea what the rules are, so I just ask, “why did they call that foul.”
If you had some Thanksgiving guests or went out of town to visit for Thanksgiving give me a call and I can put it in the next week news. 4-H NEWS—The Gause 4-H Club wants to thank all of you who donated food items to the annual community Thanksgiving food drive. We collected around 300 pounds of food.—Kaitlyn Trowbridge, reporter
