Her s tate - ment of candidacy follows:

My name is Denise Holmes Wallace. I am running for a seat on the Rockdale City Council, representing the east ward.

I am a third generation Rockdale resident. My grandfather was an Alcoa retiree, my dad also retired from Alcoa and in addition served as a constable for many years in Milam County.

I grew up here, my kids have grown up here, and Rockdale is still my home today.

Current ly I am employed with Milam County, working as administrative assistant to the county judge.

I am familiar with local government procedures and policies as well as grant writing and am well aware that it takes the support of our citizens to make things happen.

I care about our town and our schools, our citizens and our future.

I would like the opportunity to work for you, the residents of Rockdale.

Your concerns are my concerns. Together we can build a better community for ourselves and generations to follow.

I’m asking for your vote on Dec. 21.

Let me work for you.
