Mrs. Jones Mrs. Jones Services for Bobbie Jones, 84, of Rockdale are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale. Bur ia l will follow in I.O.O. F. Cemetery in Rockdale with Rev. David Pussman of First Presbyterian Church officiating.

Mrs. Jones died Sunday, Dec. 1, at her home in Rockdale.

She was born Dec. 22, 1928, in Charlottesville, Virginia, to Jay Brooks and Lora Grace (Congdon) Nuss.

On Feb. 18, 1948, she married Charles D. Jones in New Baden.

Mrs. Jones was a homemaker and member of First Presbyterian Church in Rockdale, and enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She was an avid golfer, was a former ladies champion at Rockdale Country Club and was active in the Ladies Golf Association.

Mrs. Jones also enjoyed gardening and yard work.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles D. Jones, on March 14, 2006; a son, Michael Jones, on March 19, 2005; a grandson, Josh Jones, on May 12, 2001; her parents; and two sisters, Virginia Simmons and Dorthea M. Conner.

Survivors are two sons, Allan Jones and wife Patsy of Rockdale, Brian Jones of New Braunfels; a daughter, Beverly Earnst and husband Don of Rockdale; a brother, Raymond Nuss of Waycross, Georgia; seven grandchildren, Stephanie Earnst Porter, Jennifer Grace Earnst, Mark Allan Jones, Jennifer Claire Jones, Leanne Nicole Jones, Kate Elizabeth Krech and Rachel Leigh Jones; and nine great-grandchildren, Brittany Elaine Porter, Amber Marie Stanford, Michael Allan Jones, Kaylin Jones, Tanner Jones, Christian Jones, Jacob Porter, Jaxson Jones Faulkner and Addison Stauffer.
