BABY, IT’S COLD OUTSIDE

It sure was, as temperatures stayed below freezing for much of the weekend and icy conditions caused some minor problems on Milam County roads. The frigid air didn’t stop the devoted Rockdale Tiger fans like Monette Schweitzer (pictured above) as they made the slippery trek to Waco ISD stadium to watch their beloved team fall to Fairfield in the Class 3A state quarterfinal football playoffs. It was 28 degrees at kickoff and remained that way throughout the contest, along with 20 mile per hour winds. There was ice on the bleachers, field and lights at the stadium.
