Stork

TEXAS CITY—Funeral services for Emil (Sonny) Edward Stork, 87, were held Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013, at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City. Burial followed at Grace Memorial Park in Hitchcock. Rev. Mark Brunette of Lamb of God Lutheran Church in Humble officiated.

Mr. Stork died Nov. 30 in the arms of his son and daughter-in-law.

He was born Nov. 2, 1926, in Rockdale to Jimmy William and Mary Helen Stork.

Mr. Stork was preceded in death by two sisters, Lizzy Wenzel and Thelma Kirchenwitz; two brothers, Ernest and Jimmy William; and his wife of 49 years, Dorothy Stork.

Survivors are a brother, Emmitt of Taylor; a sister, Rosie Baggerly of Pasadena; a son, Duwayne and daughter- in- law Jeannie Stork of Humble; a daughter, Mary Curd and husband James of Graham; two grandchildren, Kimberly Molder and husband Brad of Cibolo, Shanna Stork of Bryan; and six great-grandchildren, Breann, Erik, Allie, Kirbie, Kylee and Cayden; also, numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

The burn ban for Milam County has been lifted. Burning is always prohibited in the county's municipalities.
