FACELIFT—

There are some major changes going on at one of Rockdale’s landmark businesses. Renovation work is well under way at Miller Starnes Chevrolet-Buick. An $800,000 overall renovation is changing the face of a building which has been a familiar sight at the corner of Cameron and Wilcox (US 79 and FM 487) for over a half-century. As a result of the renovation, the dealership’s front entrance is closed and a temporary entrance has been opened on the Wilcox side. The Miller family has owned the business since Ernie Miller purchased it from Louis Gest in 1963. Current owners are Miller’s son, Allan, and son-in-law Kerry Starnes.
