Fifteen draw sentences in district court

CAMERON—Fifteen persons drew sentences last week in 20th District Court, according to Prosecutor Bill Torrey, who listed case dispositions as follows:

• Octaviano Salomon Moncada, 58, Cameron, pleaded guilty to DWI-third or more offense, 10-year prison term probated five years with standard DWI conditions of probation including 10-day jail term, one-year suspension of driver’s license, one-year ignition interlock or home monitoring system, DWI intervention class, $1,500 fine and $60 restitution to DPS.

• Darion Xorell Ramirez-Cavazos, 20, Rockdale, pleaded guilty to aggravated assault with deadly weapon, 10-year prison term, probated for 10 years with standard conditions of probation including 150-day term in the county jail and $1,000 fine.

• Richard Andrew Garcia, 26, Bartlett, pleaded guilty to a lesser included Class A misdemeanor offense, theft ($500 to $1,500), 50-day county jail term.

• Salvador Leal Robles Jr., 43, Taylor, pleaded guilty to evading arrest with motor vehicles, five years deferred adjudication probation, standard substance abuse probation including a 60-day county jail term and a $2,500 fine.

• Keely Aleece Godfrey, 20, Rockdale, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, four years deferred adjudication probation including a $2,500 fine and $140 restitution to DPS.

• Quentin Lamar Smith, 38, Hearne, pleaded guilty to assault family violence, three years deferred adjudication probation with standard conditions of probation including anger management and a $2,500 fine

• Shawn Hernandez, 31, Rockdale, pleaded guilty to a lesser included Class A misdemeanor attempted unauthorized use of motor vehicle, six-month county jail term.

• Louis M. Hancox, 44, Rockdale, pleaded guilty to burglary of habitation, 10-year prison term probated eight years, standard conditions of probation, $2,000 fine and $602 restitution to victim.

• Lorina G. Ramirez, 25, Austin, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance, two years deferred adjudication probation with standard conditions of probation, $2,500 fine and $140 restitution to DPS.

• Melvin Birch II, 27, Davilla, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance, four years deferred adjudication, standard probation conditions including successful completion of Concho Valley Rehab Program, $1,000 fine, $140 restitution to DPS.

• Jack Kennedy Marcotte, 44, Cypress, pleaded guilty to intoxication assault, fiveyear prison term probated five years, including 80-day county jail term, ignition interlock of home monitoring device, driver’s license suspension for one year, $2,500 fine, $60 restitution to DPS.

• Stephanie Kelly Henry, 30, Milano, pleaded guilty to forgery, 10-month state jail term, $140 restitution to DPS. She also received an additional 10-month state jail sentence for possession of a controlled substance and was also sentenced to a 10-month state jail term after pleading guilty to unauthorized use of a controlled substance.

• Travis Wayne Gossett, 45, Mullin, pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of a controlled substance and drew to 12-month state jail terms.

• Justin Robert Buntyn, 32, Coupland, made an open plea to the court and was sentenced to 10 years deferred adjudication probation on a charge of attempted aggravated sexual assault of a child with standard sex offender conditions of probation.

• Manuel Ramos, 44, Waco, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance, two-year state jail term, probated four years, substance abuse evaluation and any recommended treatment, $2,000 fine, $140 restitution to DPS.
