Friday first day to ask for primary mail ballot

The March 4 Republican and Democratic Primaries are a long way off, but there’s already a date on the long election calender next week.

Friday is the first day to request a mail-in ballot from the elections division of the county clerk’s office.

Deadline to register to vote before the primary elections is Feb. 3.

The ballot-by-mail period runs from Jan. 3 to Feb. 21.

Early voting will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 18-21 and Feb. 24-26 and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the county clerk’s office in Cameron.

Early voting will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m Feb. 18-21 and Feb. 24-28 at the Rockdale Regional Juvenile Justice Center, Fireman’s Hall in Thorndale and the Buckholts Community Center.

Polls will be open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. primary election day March 4.
