Prizes await Rockdale’s ‘first baby’

$800 in gifts will go to child, parents in annual contest

Rockdale’s first baby of 2014 will win $800 in prizes and gifts from 28 local merchants and organizations in the annual first baby contest.

Here’s how it works.

The contest is open to parents who live in Rockdale or have a Rockdale address.

When the baby is born, they should notify The Reporter, 512- 446-5838, at the first possible moment and have the doctor write down the baby’s exact time and date of birth, along with the baby’s name, sex, weight and name and address of parents.

Prizes will then be claimed with a letter of introduction from The Reporter.

That letter must be presented to merchants in order to claim the contest prizes.
