The Rockdale Christian Services Food Pantry has recently received a pair of donations, totaling $1,350.

This has been a common sight around Rockdale during the winter months, city crews working on a water line break. This one was at the corner of Yoakum and East Belton on Friday. “We’re having a lot of calls to breaks and we’re trying to get caught up,” Scooter Lindholm, public works director, said. “This clay shifts around so much,” Lindholm said. MHS cheerleaders perform at Orlando’s Capital One Bowl
Five Milano High School cheerleaders performed during the pre-game festivities of the Capital One Bowl in Orlando, Florida on Dec. 31. They were Fallon Ferguson, Nikki Herring, Kelly Wadlington, Miranda Oldham and Emily Morgan. Cheer sponsor Wendy Morgan, along with moms Kim Lenz and Debbie Todd were also on the trip with the girls. Big election season for Milam in 2014

Milam County is among the Texas counties eligible for a Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) grant to help repair or improve county roads.
