Family services for Leonard Clifton Gray, 86, will be held at a later date in Vivian, Louisiana.

Mr. Gray was born May 18, 1927, to Woody and Lela Gray in Trees, Louisiana.

He was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy.

He married Bettie Ruth Richardson in 1946 before attending Texas A&M University.

After graduation from A&M, Mr. Gray worked for Humble Oil (now Exxon) as a civil engineer where until he retired in 1983.

He was preceded in death by his wife of almost 63 years, Bettie Ruth Richardson Gray; a sonin law, Paul Mills; two brothers, Kenneth Gray and Ronald Gray, and a sister Bronis Moody.

Survivors are two daughters, Kathy Elaine Armus and husband Juny of Austin, Becky Susan Funk and husband Kenney of Sealy; two granddaughters, Cortni Jo Breman and husband Robert of Houston, Katie Ashley Westbrook and husband Tyler of Austin; and three great-grandchildren, Tyler Bunn, Dylan Bunn and Madi Breman, all of Houston.
