• After the University Interscholastic League announced its enrollment cutoffs for the next realignment in February, Rockdale will drop down in classification for the first time since 1980.

• Milano’s Aubrie King, who plays for Mumford, was named the Class A player of the year.

• Tiger football players Josh Pelzel and James David verbally committed to play for Big 12 champion Baylor.

• Tiger Jamie Czajkowski became the first Rockdale state champion in powerlifting.

• Freshman Dae Dae Robertson won district in both the 100-and 300-meter hurdles and then went to state in the 300s and setting the school record twice along the way.

• Wendell Mitchell shattered Clyde Luetge’s 59-year old scoring mark of 51 points with 54 against Brazos Christian.

• Dominique Messer became the first Milano athlete to take two gold medals at the state track meet, winning the triple jump and 400-meter dash.

• The Rockdale volleyball team made the playoffs for the first time since 2006 and just the second time in the past 20 years.
