Holidays over: Sheriff’s deputies answer four ‘trash dumping’ calls

You can tell the holidays are over.

The Milam County Sheriff’s Department answered four calls to reports of persons illegally dumping trash in widely scattered areas of the county during the past week.

Three calls were on the same day.

Deputies were called to a County Road 415 location at 10:10 a.m. Dec. 30 for a trash dumping report.

Another call reporting illegal dumping was received at 4:59 p.m., calling investigators to a County Road 229 location near Cameron.

The third call of the day, also on a County Road 227 location, was received at 5:21 p.m.

Yet another call was turned in at 10:09 a.m. Thursday and reported an illegal dumping incident on US 79 east of Thorndale.

LOUD MUSIC— Deputies were called to three separate reports of loud noises or music last Wednesday (Jan. 1) within minutes of the calendar changing from 2013 into 2014.

A loud noise report was received at 12:21 a.m. on County Road 459.

That was followed by a loud music report in the Praesel Addition south of Rockdale.

A second loud noise complaint was received at 1:24 a. m. on County Road 303 north of Rockdale.
