Horne

Charles “Chuck” Glynn Horne, YNC (SW), died Dec. 31, 2013, at his home in Cameron.

Memorial services were held Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, at Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Cameron.

Mr. Horne was born Nov. 15, 1950, in Jackson, Mississippi, and was a resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast until January 2008 when he moved to Cameron.

He was a retired U.S. Navy chief petty officer and a former member of the Gulfport Police Department.

Mr. Horne was preceded in death by his parents, George Edgar Horne and Dora Frances Aaron, and a brother, George E. Horne Jr.

Survivors are three daughters, Cortney Gibson and husband Randy of Long Beach, Mississippi, Christina Schultz and husband Alan of Caledonia, Mississippi, Jennifer Layne and husband Andy of Cameron; a stepdaughter, Maghan Foos and husband Aaron of Gulfport, Mississippi; and five grandchildren, Allison and Cody Gibson, Robert “Bobby” Schultz, Anthony and McKenzee Layne.

The burn ban for Milam County has been lifted. Burning is always prohibited in the county's municipalities.
