HONORING DR. KING—



Perfect weather greeted about 75 participants in the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day parade, held on Sunday this year, one day in advance of the state and national holiday. The parade is sponsored by a number of east side organizations and drew a crowd of all ages on foot and in all kinds of vehicles. The parade marches north the length of MLK Drive. Those included a kids train (above), a John Deere gator (below) and a number of four-wheelers. For more photos and more information on the parade’s organizers and sponsors, see pages 1A and 6A.
