Plant ID teams win at Ft. Worth

Thirteen Milam County 4-Hers competed in the Fort Worth Livestock Show Plant I.D. Contest on Jan. 2 5. O ur t eams w on t he first place honors in both the junior and senior divisions of the c ontest. Thanks goes to Coach Irby McWilliams for an amazing job training the teams. Congratulations goes to all the participants.

In the senior division, the f irst place team included Karl Woelfel, Devin Fisher and Cheyenne McWilliams. Woelfel was the high point individual, followed by Fisher in third place and McWilliams in fourth place.

In the junior division, both teams p laced. T he t eam o f Patrick Cobb, Kaylee Jackson Heath Hollas and Mason Lindig placed first, followed by the second place team of Rebecca Kostroun, Neeraj Bhakta, Kyrene Jackson and J.W. Hollas.

Cobb was f irst place high point individual, followed by Kylee Jackson in second, Heath Hollas in third, Kostroun in fourth, Bhakta in fifth, Lindig in sixth , Kyrene Jackson in eight andJ.W.Hollas inninth.

Newcomers Ryan Luckey and Vaughn Kostroun also competed for practice in the junior individuals.

The burn ban for Milam County has been lifted. Burning is always prohibited in the county's municipalities.
