Thomas Hall, 91, a resident of Renaissance Villa since June of 2009, died Monday, Jan. 20, 2014 in Renaissance Villa.
Mr. Hall was buried Wednesday, Jan. 22, at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Rockdale.
He came here from Burnet, where he was found living homeless. An organization called Friends For Life, took over his care and he came to live at the Alzheimer’s unit. Full Story
Roy T. Noack Sr., 95, of Rockdale died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014, at his home in Rockdale.
Services were held Monday, Jan. 27, at St. John’s United Methodist Church in Rockdale. Burial was in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale. Pastor Adam Straznicky officiated.

Services for Michael Ernest Starr, 58, of Pflugerville are set for 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Chapel in Rockdale. Burial will be in Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen at 2:00 p.m.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, at the funeral home.

CAMERON—Bobby Lee Charanza, 71, of Cameron died Monday, Jan. 6, 2014, at his home. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Charanza was born Sept. 29, 1942, in Caldwell to Augustine and Mary (Paul) Charanza.
He married Jeanette Williams on Sept. 29, 1962.
Mr. Charanza retired from the utilities department at Alcoa’s Rockdale Operations. Full Story
MILANO—Lenard “Paw Paw” Warren, 80, of Milano died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014, at his home.
Services were held Saturday , Jan. 25, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home Chapel in Rockdale with burial following at Mt. Homer Cemetery near Milano. Larry Nolen officiated.
Mr. Warren was born July 26, 1933, in Milam County to Ivy and Winnie (Hooks) Warren. Full Story
PASADENA—Helen Christine Shoppa, 95, died Jan. 14, 2014, in Pasadena.
Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 17, at Peace Lutheran Church in Pasadena.
Mrs. Shoppa was born Feb. 10, 1918, in Rockdale to Herbert and Lydia Menn.
She had lived in Pasadena since 1947 and was a grocery store owner who loved playing games and dancing. Full Story
HARRISON, AR—Jack D. Leggett, 72, of Harrison, Arkansas, died Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014.
