Leggett

HARRISON, AR—Jack D. Leggett, 72, of Harrison, Arkansas, died Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014.

The funeral service was held Tuesday, Jan. 28, at Crossroads Community Church in Harrisonson, Arkansas, with Rev. Johnny Walters and Rev. Richard Leggett officiating. Burial was in Berryville Memorial Park.

Mr. Leggett was born Oct. 18, 1941, in Grapeland to Jack Delton Leggett and Cordelia Smith Leggett.

He started his career working as a machinist in McGregor for Rocketdyne Corp for about a year.

In November 1968, Mr. Leggett began working at Alcoa. He worked his way up and moved to Benton, Arkansas, where he became the engineering manager of the bauxite location. He retired from Alcoa in 2005 with 37 years of service.

Mr. Leggett enjoyed playing golf, fishing, hunting and relaxing with friends and family.

He was a member of Crossroads Community Church in Harrison, Arkansas.

Survivors include his wife, Connie Leggett of Harrison, Arkansas; four sons, Richard Leggett and wife Elsa of Houston, Ronald Leggett of Rockdale, Mark Stone and wife Leah, Paul Stone and wife Becky, all of Berryville, Arkansas; his grandchildren, Daniel, Annamarie, Joseph and wife Sandy, Allen, Brandon, Garrett, Landon, Marlea, Elizabeth, Davis, Anna Brook, and Anna Caroline; and two great-grandchildren, Irie and Ruby.

Pallbearers were Goose Doss, Bill Chatterton, Jim Judy, Matt Carr, BJ White and Larry Dale.
