Starr

Services for Michael Ernest Starr, 58, of Pflugerville are set for 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Chapel in Rockdale. Burial will be in Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen at 2:00 p.m.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, at the funeral home.

Mr. Starr died Friday, Jan. 24, at his home in Pflugerville.

He was born Sept. 21, 1955, in Rockdale to Milton Ray and Leola Elizabeth (Lehman) Starr.

He married Pokhwa Kang on Oct. 7, 1991, in Rockdale.

Mr. Starr was a 1975 Rockdale High School graduate, a sergeant in the U.S. Air Force and served as a security guard. He retired in 1996 after 20 years of service.

He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, hunting, fishing and being with his family.

Mr. Starr had lived in Pflugerville the past 15 years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Milton Ray Starr, in 1962 and his mother, Leola Lehman Starr, in 1989.

Survivors are his wife, Pokhwa Kang Starr of Pf lugerville; a brother, Bennie Ray Starr and his wife Barbara of Rockdale; and a sister, Virginia “Ginny” Comeaux of Rockdale; also a number of nieces, nephews and other family.

Pallbearers will be Alonzo Lehman, Ronnie Lehman, Jarvis Lehman, Charles Starr, Tommy Buck, Ricky Long, David Lehmann and Kevin Starr.
