MILANO—Lenard “Paw Paw” Warren, 80, of Milano died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014, at his home.

Services were held Saturday , Jan. 25, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home Chapel in Rockdale with burial following at Mt. Homer Cemetery near Milano. Larry Nolen officiated.

Mr. Warren was born July 26, 1933, in Milam County to Ivy and Winnie (Hooks) Warren.

He served in the U.S. Navy from August 1953 to August 1957.

He married Wanda Cooper on Aug. 6, 1960, in Oklahoma.

Mr. Warren worked at Alcoa as a mines operator for 25 years. He was a member of IBEW Local Union, VFW Post No. 6525 and American Legion Post No. 345.

He enjoyed fishing and traveling to Shreveport to gamble.

Mr. Warren was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Warren, on Jan. 26, 2013; his parents; two sisters, Wanda Tousek and Faye Stowe; a brother, James Warren; and grandson, Seth Johnson.

Survivors are a daughter, Sherry Nolen of Port Lavaca; three sons, Howie Warren and wife Lisa of Alvin, Paul Johnson and wife Donna of League City, Brent Miller and wife Melissa of Rockdale; nine grandchildren, Clint Nolen, Jason Nolen, Kalissa Nolen, Ryne Nolen, Jennifer Hall, Breanna Miller, Bethany Miller, Chase Warren and Cameron Warren; 10 great-grandchildren, Jaxon Nolen, Kyler Nolen, Kaylie Nolen, Reese Nolen, Landry Nolen, Addison Nolen, Braelyn Johnson, Landon Hall, Keaton Hall and Branson Hall; a sister, Pat Montey; and a special family friend, Mary Ware.

Pallbearers were Jason Nolan, Ryne Nolan, Robert Everett, Rodney Coldiron, Luther Johnson and Tommy Shafer.
