Garden Cleanup Day this Tuesday

MILANO—To prepare for the butterfly garden in Milano, the El Camino Real Chapter of Texas Master Naturalist has scheduled a spring “Garden Cleanup” day on Feb. 11. The date was originally set for Jan. 29 but was moved due to cold weather conditions, organizer Debbi Harris said.

“Come learn from the experts on how to establish a butterfly garden,” Harris said. The ‘Garden Spring Cleanup’ event is set from 1-3 p.m. Feb. 11 at Milano Junction Memorial Garden, next to the Milano Post Office.

“At this event, we’ll cleanup the garden and amend the soil with more compost. Please bring your gloves, pruners, shovel and a rake,” Harris said.

FMI, e-mail Harris at milanojunctionmemorialgarden@yahoo.com.

This project is sponsored by the El Camino Real Chapter of Texas Master Naturalists and the Friends of the Bailey Bank Building.
