17 cases heard in 20th District Court

CAMERON—Seventeen cases were disposed of in 20th District Court of Milam County in the last two weeks of January, according to Prosecutors Bill Torrey and John Paschall who listed the case dispositions as follows:

• Jamal Byron Williams, 23, Cameron, pleaded guilty to tampering with evidence, six-year prison term.

• John D. Johnson, 33, Rockdale, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance, eight-year probated prison term, substance abuse facility, $2,500 fine, restitution to DPS.

• Billy Don Norman Sr., 49, Rockdale, pleaded guilty to a lesser included Class A misdemeanor, attempted possession of a controlled substance, one-year county jail probated sentence, $2,000 fine, $140 restitution to DPS.

• Cassandra Monique Sanchez, 23, Thorndale, pleaded guilty to burglary of a building, two years deferred adjudication probation, complete theft aversion class, $1,500 fine, $307.62 restitution.

• Chelsea Elizabeth Snyder, 22, Rockdale, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance, three years deferred adjudication probation, $2,000 fine.

• Cecilia Amelia Perez-Ramirez, 26, Cameron, pleaded guilty to injury to a child, three years deferred adjudication probation, complete parenting classes, $1,500 fine.

• Christopher Jerome Thompson, 36, Rockdale, pleaded guilty to a lesser included Class A misdemeanor assault, 15-day county jail term.

• Lequinn Nequise Davis, 17, Rockdale, pleaded guilty to attempted burglary of a habitation, three years deferred adjudication probation, $500 fine, $399 restitution.

• Jenny Coren Kintoki, 29, Fort Hood, pleaded guilty to DWI with child under 15, two-year state jail term, probated five years, one-year driver’s license suspension, one-year ignition interlock device or home monitoring system, complete DWI intervention class, $2,500 fine.

• Sherman Lee Sanchez, 31, Rockdale, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance, eight-year prison term probated four years, $2,500 fine, $140 restitution to DPS.

• Billy Wayne Johnson, 27, Cameron, pleaded guilty to lesser included Class A misdemeanor assault, one-year county jail term probated one year, standard conditions of probation including $1,000 fine and 60 hours community service.

• Arnold Andrew Curry, 48, Temple, pleaded guilty to burglary of a building, two-year state jail term, probated for two years, $800 fine.

• Clinton Chase Peacock, 27, Thorndale pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance, two years deferred adjudication probation, substance abuse evaluation and any recommended treatment, $1,500 fine, $140 restitution to DPS.

• Michael Dale Huckabay, 18, Thorndale, pleaded guilty to Class A misdemeanor attempted possession of a controlled substance, one year deferred adjudication probation, including substance abuse evaluation and any recommended treatment, $1,500 fine, $140 restitution to DPS.

• Abel Duarte 21, Cameron, pleaded guilty to engaging in organized criminal activity, three years deferred adjudication probation, no contact with victim, $1,500 fine, restitution to be determined.

• Samuel Walker Jr., 59, Rockdale, pleaded guilty to probation revocation motion on original charge of evading arrest with a motor vehicle, three-year prison term.
