Lady Tigers join playoff party
Will face Robinson on Monday in first round
It wasn’t exactly smooth sailing, but for the first time since 1999-2000, the Rockdale Lady Tigers are making their second consecutive playoff appearance.
Although the Lady Tigers fell to District 18-3A champion Madisonville 50-22 on the road Tuesday, they clinched the spot Friday with a sloppy 36-27 win over cellar dweller Caldwell at Tiger Gymnasium. Full Story

Despite an impressive victory over Madisonville Tuesday night, the Rockdale Tigers playoff hopes hinge on what other teams do to each other.
In other words, the Tigers destiny is in someone else’s hands.

In truth, it was just a friendly little district meeting.

Lady Eagles will face Thrall Monday in Rockdale
For just the second time in the last 14 season, the Milano Lady Eagles are headed to the state playoffs. Milano defeated Burton 44-17 on Tuesday night at Geneva Paceley Gym in the final home game for senior players Amber O’Gilvie, Kelly Wadlington and Emily Overall. Full Story
Aggie moms tee up for scholarship golf
The Milam County Aggie Moms Club will host its second annual scholarship golf tournament Saturday, March 22, at the Rockdale Country Club.
The 4-man scramble tournament will have two tee times; 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. and will include carts and lunch.
Entry fee is $60 per player. There will be contests, silent auction and more. Full Story
