City rebates up in February
County check down, MDD amount rose
AUSTIN—Texas Comptroller Susan Combs said that state sales tax revenue in January was $2.3 billion, up 8.3 percent compared to January 2013.
Combs sent out $802.1 million in February local sales tax allocations last week to cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose taxing districts. That is up 8.2 percent compared to the same time in 2013. Full Story

Shredder at Chamber March 7
The commercial cross shredder will be back in Rockdale on Friday, March 7, according to Chamber secretary Denise Brock. The community service project is sponsored by the Rockdale Chamber of Commerce and Rockdale Rotary Club. Full Story
