More file for May 10 elections

A pair of Rockdale incumbents filed for May 10 city and school ballot during the past week.

West Ward City Councilman Doug Calame signed up to seek another term on Wednesday and Lin Perry, Place 6 school trustee, signed up on Tuesday.

Previously filing was Kent Bowermon, Place 7 school trustee.

The term of east ward city council member Leroy Phillips is also expiring this year.

There were no new filings for the Rockdale Hos- pital District board of directors where president Carl Hudson and members Terry Browning and Dennis Brooks have filed for new terms and Tom Loth is seeking the position vacated by Mike Vance.

Deadline to file for the May 10 ballot is Feb. 28.

THORNDALE—Incumbent Sam Pickett and Allen Hejl filed for the city council. Previously filing was incumbent George Galbreath. Currently it’s a three-candidate race for two positions.

Scott Schaefer filed for TISD School Board. Terms expiring are those of incumbents Dean Betak and Trey Felton.

MILANO—Jerry Hall, incumbent Milano City Council member, filed during the week.

Mayor Billy Barnett filed earlier. Those are the only city positions on the ballot.

There were no new MISD school board filings where board president Edward Westbrook and incumbent Jay Willingham have filed for re-election.

The burn ban for Milam County has been lifted. Burning is always prohibited in the county's municipalities.
