Zion Hill thanks plea responders

Dear editor,

This is a follow-up to your readers and responders to a plea for help to save the Zion Hill Baptist Church deteriorating structure which you published last November.

This is also to offer a big “thank you” to each responder.

Hopefully, there are others among you that can rejoice with us in knowing that the work to restore and strengthen the Zion Hill Church building in Gause is going well and with heartfelt determination from restoration committee members.

During a meeting at the church Feb. 1, it was gratifying to see that both restrooms (men and women) had been installed with new operating facilities including toilets and face bowls.

The second feature of progress is a strong foundation. The flooring is strong, sturdy and dependable.

Third noted accomplishment is wood flooring for covering specified areas has been purchased and is ready for work to proceed.

Plans are under way to send out information to individuals with any relational ties to Zion Hill to please respond accordingly as directed in the letter. It will be a letter describing a financial plan to help with the ongoing process of strengthening the building. The financial plan title: “Church Related Family Rally Financial Drive.”
