Ag Booster BBQ, bake sale to be held Saturday

The Rockdale Ag Boosters will hold a barbecue lunch and bake sale on Saturday, March 22 at the Rockdale City Hall parking lot. The event will begin at 10 a.m. until sold out.

Pulled pork and brisket sandwiches will be sold for $6 and will include chips and drink. Meat will also be available by the pound.

A bake sale will be held on site.

Proceeds benefit Rockdale Ag Booster Club.

TMS rabies clinic set Saturday at city park

THORNDALE—Thorndale Middle School will sponsor its annual rabies clinic 2-5 p.m. March 22 at the Thorndale park pavilion.

Dr. Arlon Graef DVM and his staff from Graef Veterinary Hospital in Taylor will be on hand to administer rabies shots and other shots for dogs and cats.

Rabies shots are $5 each, with additional costs for additional shots.

Owners are asked to use a leash on dogs and a carrier for cats.

Boosters pig tickets on sale until March 29

The Rockdale Ag Boosters are selling tickets to win onehalf of a butchered show pig.

Tickets are $5 each or five for $20, according to spokesperson Donna Roberts.

The drawing will be held March 29 and winner need not be present to win.

Longhorn Show returning March 28-30

The South Texas Longhorn Association will bring its spring show back to Rockdale on March 28-30 at Fair Park.

Three youth shows and one open show are scheduled.

Show will start at 6 p.m. March 28 and be held at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on March 29. Things will wrap up on March 30 with shows at 8:30 a.m. and 9 a.m.
