The Thorndale Area Chamber of Commerce ( TACC) is looking forward to its signature event on Saturday, April 26. The upcoming car show, quilt show and arts and crafts show in downtown Thorndale will set the day for family friendly fun for young and old alike.

The car show wi l l feature classic cars of all descriptions lining the street in downtown Thorndale. This event will get under way with registration beginning at 7:30 a.m. The contact person is Allen Hejl at 512- 905-3038. Put a shine on that classic car and see if you can win a ribbon in this challenging event.

Darleen Tucker and Donna Johnston are co-chairpersons for the quilt show and they would like for you to share your family heirlooms and newly created works in the art of quilting at their Airing of the Quilts event. Ribbons will be given in several categories and yours may be a real winner. The arts and crafts fair will be held on the downtown sidewalk areas. We look forward to having a wide selection of vendors for arts and crafts, food, and much more. See what you can find to add to your home d├ęcor or just for your pleasure of shopping. For more information and to reserve a spot for your booth, call Susan Drabek at 512-269-8796.

And don’t forget to shop with our local merchants who will be offering selections for sale on the same day. Remember that shopping locally helps our community and helps you find just the right items you need without the hassle of big city traffic.

The TACC takes individual memberships as well as business memberships. Please call Brian Morton at 512-658-5378 or Darleen Tucker at 512- 898- 2727 if you would like to join the chamber and help provide family-friendly events and activities.
