Baptist Church Easter egg hunt set

A reminder to all of you with little ones. As in the past there will be a Community Easter Egg Hunt at the Gause Baptist Church at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 19 with a short program in the church followed by the hunt and then refreshments. Youngsters all need to bring eggs to be hidden by older youth and some type of refreshments.

Hope all of you with small ones will join in this annual community activity. And pastor Tony Gonzales and church members invite everyone to Easter morning worship services at 11 a.m.

On April 25, Gause Elementary students will host their annual Spring Fling Fundraiser. Proceeds this year will go to Jamie Czjakowski for his trip to the Power Lif ting Olympics. Jamie attended school here in Gause. Weather permit- ting the fundraiser will be held on the football field. Time flies and it is a little over a month and this school year will be coming to end. Lots of activities taking place now. Mrs. Miller’s sixth grade class went to Austin on Tuesday of this past week and toured the Bob Bullock Museum. Then on Wednesday they went on a field trip to College Station and toured the George Bush Library and Texas A&M University. More STARR testing will be taking place within the school on April 22-23.

Gause Pre-K through second grade will be taking a field trip to the Brazos Valley Museum on April 23.

Wanda and Alfred Coats, Sherri and James Rasco joined family members and friends for an open house honoring Blaine and Lauren Ward and children at their new home in Magnolia on Saturday.
