MARC Run supporters came through again
The 13th Annual MARC Run was held Saturday. This benefit, hosted annually by the Bad to the Bone Riders, the MARC Center Board, our community and friends, Raises money to benefit the consumers of MARC in Rockdale.
The ride has grown from a few local bikers interested in lending a hand to a major opportunity for bikers from all over the United States to enjoy a day of riding and fellowship and help some dearly loved people.
An auction in the afternoon and this year a BBQ meal was offered for sale to the public to allow those who don’t own a bike but wanted to participate.
The community once again shined through by donating items to the auction, attendance, purchasing plates, purchasing auction items and lending a hand in any way.
The morning saw over 70 bikes and 28 passengers through town as they headed out to their first destination on a four-stop tour.
The riders returned to the final stop and were greeted by the smell of BBQ plates.
The auction was once again the highlight of the day as John Fisher of Rockdale entertained the crowd.
Most exciting part is presenting the check to the MARC Center Board and consumers.
This year, Bad to the Bone Riders are proud to present $30,407.50, with more money coming in, to the MARC Center.
With this years total MARC has received $167,000 over 13 years. We appreciate all of our sponsors, helpers and our friends, and those who keep coming back to ride and participate every year.
Thank you all for making this the best year yet.
Love the Bad to the Bone Riders.
