Thanks to Reporter staffer for extra effort
I had mailed a check to The Reporter for a 12-month subscription but failed to get a copy of the most recent paper.
I called and asked if you would be able to mail a copy this week and the person who answered said she would just bring me a copy on the way to lunch.
She brought me a copy. I did not get her name.
I moved to Rockdale from San Angelo, not my original home, to be nearer my son in LaGrange and my daughter in Austin.
I have had no previous contact with anyone here other than making arrangements to move into Hunter’s Chase.
Since I no longer drive, there has been a lot of making local contacts to learn what my options for transportation, etc., and to date all my needs have been met.
I’ve visited the hospital, called the senior citizens center and even been to the funeral home, to determine my prepaid insurance will be in place.
I plan this as my final home and doubt I could have chosen a better one.
So, The Reporter is important to me. Yes, I have Internet, call phone and cable television soon, but the paper is still my favorite communicator.
Please thank the person who brought the paper to me.
Congratulations for being recognized business of the month.
