Jerman misses state


Jerman Jerman HUNTSVILLE—Jacey Jerman turned in a steady performance but fell short of the state golf tournament.

The senior carded a 104 in both rounds for a 208 total.

At the 6,943 yard Raven’s Nest course, Allison Davis of Silsbee claimed medalist honors with a (85- 82)—167, while Jacklyn Milligan was runner-up at (85-84)—169

Caldwell bagged the regional title by 60 strokes.

Jerman—who was the runner-up medalist at the District 18-3A tournamwent— was the first Lady Tiger golfer to reach the regional round since Erica Gerlock and Annie Wilde in 2009.

Gerlock went three straight years, 2007-09.

No individual girl has made it to the state tournamnt.

The last girls to make it were in 1981 when the entire team qualified.
