Local rebates on slight rise
County check down almost 50% from June 2013
AUSTIN—Texas Comptroller Susan Combs said that state sales tax revenue in May was $2.45 billion, up 8.5 percent compared to May 2013.
Combs sent out $621.5 million in June local sales tax allocations last week to cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose taxing districts.
That is up 11.6 percent compared to the same time last year. Full Story
