The Nolens need our help after fire
Former Rockdalians Clint and Mandy Nolen need our help.
The Seguin apartment complex they had been living in with their three young daughters, ages 10, 9 and 7, caught fire and burned to the ground.
The Nolens lost everything they owned.

Fake ‘FBI agent’ sends scam e-mail
A scammer identifying themselves as “FBI agent Erick Bolt” sent an e-mail to Roselee Mondrik with a good newsbad news form letter.
The good news is she is entitled to $4.1 million. The bad news is that, if she does not respond immediately, she breaks one of the Internal Revenue Service’s laws which carries serious penalties and jail time. Full Story
Tax base decline continues in county
This year’s further decline in Milam County’s tax base needs to be viewed in perspective.
