The Hiring Our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program provides transitioning active duty service members and spouses of active duty Soldiers stationed at Fort Hood with management training and hands-on experience in the civilian workforce, expanding corporate America’s understanding of the veteran job market and preparing those individuals for smooth transitions into meaningful civilian careers.

“We match candidates with participating companies based on the skills and preferences of both parties,” he said.

“The key is active duty throughout the completion of the program for military, for spouses it’s a little more complicated,” he said.

“The spouse’s sponsor (soldier) has to be stationed at Fort Hood and on active duty at the time of enrollment,” Putt said.
