Milano Ex-Students reunion and luncheon will be Saturday at the Milano High School cafetorium. Items are also need for the live and silent auctions for that day.

A “reorganization meeting” for the association is set for 9 a.m. Saturday at the cafetorium. Those interested in serving in an officer position and/or as a committee member should attend or contact Carolyn Hafley at 512-455-2473, or myself at 254-718-0133 prior to Saturday.

Saturday’s event will include a noon meal of fried chicken and the trimmings catered by Lee’s Landing. Registration for the reunion and “visiting time” will get underway at 10 a.m.

Items will be accepted for both live and silent auctions at the event. Proceeds from the auctions defray the costs of mailing out all of the homecoming announcements each year.

This year’s 50th anniversary class is the Class of 1967.

The ex-students group gave away seven $1,000 scholarships last year with the help of donations from our former students (Wise Family, three; Swenson Family, one; Martin Family, two; Ex-Students, one). If you cannot make this weekend’s homecoming reunion and would like to make a donation to the scholarship fund, please let me know and I will get you the mailing address as to where to send your donations.
