Christmas shoppers can assist ‘Pack Pals’

MISD REPORT
Robert Westbrook
Milano ISD Superintendent

Pack Pals is an organization that provides a small bag of food each week for students to take home with them to help them have something to eat through the weekend.

Milano is currently one of the schools being served. Rockdale, Gause and Thorndale students are being served by this program as well.

In order to aid in our effort of obtaining funds, Pack Pals has partnered with Amazon to be a non-profit charity.

This is where we need your help: If you shop on Amazon, please go to Amazon Smiles first and select Greater Rockdale E-Access Team.

From here, Amazon will donate a portion of all sales to our organization. You may have to type our name in so that it will appear since we are both a new and a small organization.

Pack Pals and the children they benefit appreciates your support of this organization. Please feel free to share with anyone who may be able to support this organization.

GREAT SEASON—Our football enjoyed tremendous support this season.

While the season did not end the way we hoped it would, we can take tremendous pride in the accomplishments they achieved this year.

The 2017 Eagle squad set a school record for wins in a season with 11 victories.

They were the first Milano team to play a football game in December.

Along the way, they defeated four district champions and snapped the three time defending state champion Bremond Tiger’s 49 game winning streak.

Congratulations guys! You made all of us very proud.

CONCERT, PLAY— Milano ISD has a lot of great students and I’m very proud of all of them and enjoy watching them compete and perform.

On Wednesday, Dec. 13, our elementary students will perform their Christmas concert.

Our students, parents and staff always look forward to the concert.

It is great to be able to come together and listen to our students perform Christmas songs. They do an awesome job.

The concert is at 6:30 p.m. in the high school gym.

Also on Dec. 13, our junior high one act play troupe will be competing in their district contest.

We will host the contest in the MHS cafetorium.

Our play is under the direction of Sherry Lagrone and Susan Meyer.

These ladies do a great job of leading our theater department.
