Liberty church to hold Christmas service Sunday

Liberty Community Church will hold Christmas services at 9 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 10. A Christmas brunch will be served following the service.

‘Coats for Kids’ offered by Rockdale Christian

Rockdale Christian Church, 1406 Sager, is providing new coats for children in the community who are not fortunate enough to have good winter clothing, Harry Stevenson, minister, announced.

To qualify, the parent or guardian of a child who is age 12 or younger, should contact the church at 512- 446-2568 or 512-734-9155. “A coat will be ordered once the request has been received and the necessary information has been provided for the order,” Minister Stevenson said.

RSBC holding drive ‘Toiletries for Tigers’

Rising Star Baptist Church is holding a “Toiletries for Tigers drive” through Dec. 10, according to Jo Ann Bradford, church publicist.

“Items will be delivered to Rockdale High School to assist with providing hygiene supplies for students who do not have access to these items at home,” she said.

Needed: travel-size soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, brush, deodorant and lotion.

New Jerusalem Church musical drama Dec. 20

New Jerusalem Church, Dr. Dennis Brooks pastor, 103 Mulberry Street in Rockdale, will present “In Search of a Miracle,” a musical drama, at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20.

Rising Star Baptist Church, 1055 Texas Street in Rockdale, will hold a special night of worship at 9 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 31, New Year’s Eve.

The evening will feature special choir music and solos, skit, praise dancers and sermonettes, according to Jo Ann Bradford, church spokesperson. “All are welcome,” she said.
