Clarence Wayne Diver, 70, of Rockdale died Monday, Dec. 4, 2017.

Funeral services will be held at 12-noon Saturday, Dec. 9, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Platt and Pastor Lance Walch officiating. Burial will follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Visitation is set for 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home.

Mr. Diver was born May 25, 1947, in Rockdale to Clarence and Nellie Myrle (Tucker) Diver.

He married Peggy Lucille Bowers on June 10, 1967, at Caldwell Methodist Church.

Besides Rockdale, Mr. Diver also lived in Austin, Thrall and San Gabriel.

He worked as an office manager for Mine Services and had also worked as an office manager for Wilson Lincoln Mercury in Taylor.

He attended Forest Grove Christian Church and enjoyed playing dominoes, gardening, watching westerns and listening to Rockdale football on the radio.

Mr. Diver preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Diver, and his parents, Clarence and Nellie Myrle Diver.

Survivors are two sons, David Diver of Cedar Park, Eugene Diver of Victoria; a daughter, Whitney Diver of Rockdale; a brother, Charles Diver of Rockdale; and two sisters, Janice Rogers of Rockdale, Helen Rogers of Caldwell; also, 11 grandchildren.
