CAMERON—Eight persons were sentenced recently in 20th District Court, including a mother and daughter who were former employees of the Milam County Tax Office. (See page 8A).
Proseutor Bill Torrey listed other case dispositions as follows:
• Joseph Anthony Vega, 35, Buckholts, five-year prison term after pleading “true” to a motion to revoke probation for unlawful possession of firearm by felon. Also sentenced to a five-year prison term after pleading guilty to tampering with evidence. Also sentenced to five-year prison term after pleading guilty to bail jumping–fail to appear.
• Rodney Wayne Franklin, 50, Attalla, Alabama, seven-year prison term, probated four years, fined $2,500 fine after pleading guilty to sex offender duty to register.
• Christopher Bradley Young, 36, Rogers, was sentenced to five years deferred adjudication, 18-day county jail term, fined $2,500 and assessed $8,430 in restitution to the victims after pleading guilty to engaging in organized criminal activity enhanced
• Christopher Lee Damron, 22, Waxahachie, six-month county jail term after pleading “true” to a motion to revoke probation on an original Class A misdemeanor, attempted debit card abuse.
• Clayton Lane Pennington, 18, Rockdale, fined $1,803 after pleading guilty to a lesser included Class B misdemeanor, disorderly conduct
• Dianna Marie Stevens, 35, Hearne, five-year prison term after pleading “true” to a motion to revoke probation on an original lesser included possession of controlled substance (4-200 grams).
