Cold temperatures and a strong north wind didn’t stop 60 participants from raising at least $23,000 for the Milam Adult Resource Center (MARC) Saturday.

That’s the “still counting” total from the 17th annual MARC Run held by Bad to the Bone Riders, beginning and ending at The Ranch.

“We had bikes, trikes, cars and trucks,” race organizer Charles Starr said. “Thanks to all of our loyal supporters and everyone who came out on Saturday.”

“A lot of people opened up their hearts and checkbooks and enjoyed a day of fellowship and fun,” he said.

The fund raiser featured various stops and a return to The Ranch for a barbecue meal and live auction.
