Both accidents were in northern Milam County and two of the fatalities were Cameron residents.

HEAD-ON—Two persons died in a head-on collision before dawn Saturday, just inside Milam County at the Bell County line.

Dave Roberts, DPS spokesman, said Carlos Vallea, 18, of Cameron and Tessie Billue, 30, of Killeen were pronounced dead at the scene, Texas 36, 2.2 miles south of Rogers.

He said a 2010 Honda Accord driven by Billue was traveling west and a 2002 Lincoln Navigator, operated by Valles, was eastbound when the Honda drifted into the oncoming lane and the crash occurred.

Time of the accident was listed as 3:05 a.m.

Roberts said there were two passengers in the Navigator, 20-year-old Pedro Garcia and a juvenile male who was not identified by the DPS.

According to Roberts, both were from Cameron and both were transported to Baylor Scott & White Hospital, Temple, for treatment of “incapacitating injuries.”

FATAL CRASH—One person died and one was injured last Wednesday morning in a two-vehicle collision on FM 485, 6.7 miles northwest of Cameron.

According to the DPS, an eastbound Chevrolet SUV operated by Kenneth Drones Jr., 35, of Cameron drifted over the center line and was in collision with a westbound 2005 Freightliner 18-wheeler truck rig driven by 56-year-old David Shad-id of Diana.

Drones was pronounced dead at the scene.

Cameron firefighters were called to the scene to remove Drone’s body from the wreckage.

Investigators said the car hit the truck, careened into a guard rail, left the roadway and flipped over onto its side.

Shadid was not injured, according to the DPS.
