The 2021 Milam County 4-H Banquet was held on Sunday at the Thorndale Fireman’s Hall.
Award winners included:
GOLD STAR—The most recognized and highest award for 4-H went to Kennedy Hobbs of Thorndale and Mason Leifeste of Cameron .
‘I DARE YOU’—The I Dare You Award is offered as recognition of excellence in character and well-balanced personal development as well as a demonstration of leadership.
Sponsors for the award were Phil and Debbie Konarik.
Receiving this award for 2021 were Corley Callahan, Cameron; Robert Miller, Gause; Ryan Luckey, Rockdale.
SILVER STAR—The Silver Star award is for 4-Hers ages 11-13.
A record book is required to apply for this award. These awards are sponsored by David and Margie Barkemeyer of Cameron.
Winners were Kenzie Hobbs, Thorndale and Kenan Mingus, Cameron.
BRONZE STAR—The Bronze Star awards were sponsored by The Bling Box Boutique (Jeremy and Courtney Renaud).
This award is for 4-Hers 8-10 years of age.
Receiving Bronze Star awards were:
Karsyn Mingus Cameron,: Adyson Parker, Cameron; and Sloan Sanders, Cameron.
CLOVER AWARD— Rockdale Memorial, Anderle Lumber Company, Bradley Plumbing and The Bling Box Boutique sponsored the County Achievement Awards.
The Clover Award is for beginner members between the ages of 5-8.
Receiving the award were: Jaxson Clinard, Thorndale; Landree Leifeste, Cameron; James Holcombe, Cameron; and Mackenzie Holcombe, Cameron; and Wayde Woods, Cameron.
ROOKIE—The Rookie Award is available to any 4-Her in their first year of membership. Sloan Sanders of Cameron received the award.
HONOR ROLL—The Honor Roll award is for junior members between the ages of 8-10.
Receiving the award were Noah Bradley, Cameron; Luke Holcombe, Cameron; Karsyn Mingus, Cameron; Adyson Parker, Cameron; Sloan Sanders, Cameron; and Wyatt Woods, Cameron.
ALL-STAR—All Star award winners are intermediate members ages 11-13. Receiving this award were Hannah Bakken, Milano; Harleigh Barrett, Thorndale; Riley Clinard, Thorndale; Klaybourne Eschberger, Rockdale; Kenzie Hobbs, Thorndale; Shawn Leifeste, Cameron; Jack Luckey, Rockdale; Mackenzie Mahan, Cameron; Macy McDaniel, Rockdale; Kenan Mingus, Cameron; and Jadyn Parker, Cameron.
LETTERMAN—Letterman Achievement Awards were sponsored by District Attorney Bill Torrey, Cameron Farm and Ranch, Rockdale Federal Credit Union and Buddy and Marilyn Johnson.
The Letterman award is for Senior members 14-18 years of age.

SHOOTING SPORTS—
Texas Shooting Sports team competed at the national level this year, and Addie Reisner was congratulated for competing on the team.
The Milam County Consumer and Healthy Lifestyles team compete at the National level from Milam County.
These youth were recognized as follows:
