“That’ll Be the Day” to get “All Shook Up”
Saturday that is, when the Kay Theatre presents a 50s Rock and Roll revival with Steve “Anton” Raby and the Star Chiefs.
Participants are asked to don their 50s finery—Brylcreem, poodle skirts and more—and dance the night away.
Music featured will be Buddy Holly, Ritchie Val-ens, The Big Bopper, The Platters, Dion and the Belmonts, The Everly Brothers, Roy Orbison, somebody named Elvis and more.
Doors open at 6 p.m. with music starting at 7. Tickets are $20 each, $30 for couples.
Seating is limited to the fi rst 250.
One number will be selected from written wrist band tickets and will win the $100 cash prize awarded at the break.
Raby is former lead singer of Johnny Dee and the Rocket 88s.
Money raised will go to the Kay Theatre Foundation.
