On Monday night Milam County’s 68th death was recorded, according to County Judge Steve Young. He also reported that our vaccination rate had increased to 44.51% which represents 9,389 Milam County residents.

All people who have been hospitalized or who have died were unvaccinated. There are currently 15 people hospitalized of which seven are in serious condition on ventilators.

A vaccine clinic was to have been held on Wednesday at the Milam County Health Department in Cameron from 12-noon to 7 p.m. by appointment only, giving Pfizer to age 12 and up and Moderna to ages 18 and up.

On Friday the clinic will be held at the Davilla Community Center at 20803 FM 487 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. giving Pfizer to age 12 and up and Moderna to ages 18 and up.

On Saturday the clinic will be in Rockdale at the Rockdale Medical Clinic from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. giving Pfizer to age 12 and up, and Moderna to ages 18 and up.
