The 23rd annual MARC Ride will be held this Saturday, June 8 at The Ranch with registration starting at 9 a.m. The MARC Ride is the major source of income for the Milam Adult Resource Center (MARC) and the ride has raised over $400,000 for the center over the years.

According to MARC Board President Ann King, “The proceeds from the MARC Ride helps to maintain our facility, pay for building and van insurance, and also makes it possible for the consumers to bowl twice a month in Temple as well as have monthly social activities.”

Attendees can help the Bad to the Bone Riders meet their goals by buying barbecue plates for $15 starting at 11 a.m. until sold out. There will also be a 50/50 drawing and a live auction starting at 4 p.m.

All are invited to take part in the ride with motorcycles, trikes, cars or trucks. The ride fee, which also includes a meal, is $20 or $25 with a passenger. Plaques will be awarded to the oldest rider, oldest bike, youngest rider and the MARC consumers choice. The ride features a trip down Pecos Avenue and all the consumers will be outside cheering them on. It’s a great place to watch the riders and the consumers reactions.

Stops along the ride include Cyndi’s Hawg Hang Out in Hogg, Cliff’s Tavern, VFW Post 6525 and The Ranch in Rockdale.
