Here are some things families can enjoy to promote Earth Day and help keep Rockdale clean.
All month long there will be an Earth Day display at the Lucy Hill Patterson Memorial Library.
On April 9 there is a County Wide Hazardous Waste Cleanup which will be located at Milam County Precinct 4 Headquarters, located at 501 E. US 79 in Thorndale.
A Rockdale Earth Day community service will be held on April 22 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon and will kickoff at the RHS Gym. High schoolers will be picking up trash around town.
Also on April 22, Rockdale Earth Day, Milam County Community Theater and The Kay Theater will partner to show the movie, Jungle Book at The Kay at 7 p.m.
On April 23 the city will hold Stash Your Trash at Fair Park from 8 a.m. to 12-noon.
