SHERIFF’S REPORT
Authorities believe a Friday arrest in Cameron has cleared cases in Milam and Falls Counties.
Police responded to a report of a subject waving a gun on East 19th Street and arrested 32-year-old Luis Sarinana of Temple after a struggle.
A search revealed an amount of cash and a gun safe. Investigators learned from the Falls County Sheriff’s Department of a driver being robbed at gunpoint and a gun safe taken in a home burglary.
Authorities said the subject was also linked to a Milam County burglary.
Sarinana was charged with assault of peace officer/judge, prohibited substance in correctional facility; escape while arrested/ confined, burglary of habitation and evading arrest with vehicle.
He remains in custody in lieu of $65,000 bond.
